The following operations are required to setup GeoServer enterprise for use in a production environment:

  • Changing the default admin password
  • Changing the master password
  • Set Java startup options
  • Configure the Marlin renderer
  • Configure WPS permissions
  • Disable deprecated WPS processes
  • Configure GEOSERVER_DATA_DIRECTORY to point to an external folder.

GetCat recommends the following best practices:
