Mapping services have been updated to the latest GeoCat Map 2026.1 technology, based on GeoServer 3.0.2, GeoWebCache 2.0.2, and GeoTools 35.2. This is a security release addressing several vulnerabilities, along with new OGC API functionality.
Highlights for this release include:
- OGC API Maps 1.0 service, following the final OGC API - Maps 1.0.0 standard, with map filtering using CQL2 Text, CQL2 JSON or ECQL.
- OGC API conformance tables for OGC API Features and OGC API Maps improved in response to customer feedback, with draft and community standards now disabled by default.
- GeoJSON vector tiles are no longer empty when the layer is meta-tiled.
- Layer preview feature info is easier to read with long attribute names and values.
- Security vulnerabilities addressed, details subject to coordinated vulnerability disclosure publication limits.
GeoCat Live Premium customers also receive:
- JWT Headers configuration options, with existing filters reported in the GeoServer log when they should be reviewed. Please contact support for assistance reviewing your JWT Headers configuration.
- OpenID Connect support for single-tenant Microsoft Entra ID.
